RIVERSIDES' FOX THEATRE Honors BLACK HISTORY MONTH?

@ The Newly re-furbished FOX THEATRE! wouldn't you know it, the right wing conservatives that run this town has just went absolutely crazy!!! To celebrate the Month of Februarys' "Black History Month" Riversides' Fox Theatre decided to show there contribution to Black History Month, by advertising in one of there many display cases, a breif glimpse @ cinematic history with a poster of the cast of "GONE WITH THE WIND", of course Clark Gable in character in full garb from the movie, and would't you know it, lo- and behold a picture of HATTIE MCDANIELS, The

First Black actress to ever win an Academy Award, don't you think it would have been in better taste that they dislpay a picture of her winning the academy award in a great dress, and looking proud and strong, instead of some photo for all the public to see, of some "Aunt Jemima" "mammy type" that is definately not the image any one wouyld want to be reminded of. that is not somethingfor the blackRace to bve proud of, that is something that should be dislpyaed in a museum, so all genreations, can see the intolerance that was laid on the many races and cultures , that came across the threashell with the Eurpoeans, this just fuels the backward thinking of the conservatives that run, and rule this city and county. it is outrageous to think, for an instant, that was in good taste on any level, or platform. no matter how you try to pretty it up, with the text,," i'll say for the "black public" at large! We' really want someone to explain how, and why , in a national economic recession, could Riverside county and city afford to spend $32 million dollars, on the re-furbishing of the Fox Theatre, while in the meantime ,California junior colleges and uc's, are turning away students, cutting professors salaries, and freezing grants,! to cut back . Yeah Arnold take away money from the schools! real PATRIOTIC! Would somebody please tell me where the "California Lottery" Money is going ,PLEASE!
